Question for program owners. What type of affiliate do you prefer.

Do you prefer an affiliate who actually:

    A. "invests" in promoting your sites? i.e. building ad pages, their own galleries, free sites, SEO work etc. etc. etc. and thus are building a long term relationship.

    B. affiliates that just use everything you have and slap it up all over the place and so have no real "loyalty".

    C. Or, at the end of the day does it just come down to sales and so you would just prefer the ones that can send a shit load of traffic but most likely have no loyalty either.

For my top sponsors, I'm an A type affiliate but I'm finding it harder and harder to remain that way because so many programs seem to cater to the B and C types whether it's tools that are limited to those types of affiliates, changing their linking frequently, adding/dropping sites all the time etc. etc. etc.

I imagine they prefer whichever affiliates send the most sales, whether from the affiliates own work, or hosted gals ;)

Most Sponsors only care about the big dogs, but its silly really, because they lose so much fucking branding and cash because they shave the little guy to death by offering more than they can and shave the little guy.

The little guy will eventually brand out and hook up some good scores. Unfortuantely after the first month the sponsor shits on the little guy and the little guy can tell, and thus stops working..

Itss a real shame as it pretty much stunts the growth of adult affiliates.. but not too many of the top sponsors care, because they're made already.....

This is some small hope for the hard working affiliate.
You can find the right sponsor, but its a daily task of trial and error and not many can last long enough to score...

But here's one place you can start...

Affiliates that make up the 6% worthwhile having - and actually start promoting.

They don't phone up from halfway across the world to let ya know there might have been .25 cents short in the last payout and explain how creatives don't work well for them.

I prefer affiliates who make sales, and the B types don't seem to sell as much as the A types. I don't know though, sometimes it doesn't have anything to do with what kind of promo they do, and just has everything to do with their traffic.

I don't expect people to be "loyal" to us -- I am happy if they just give us a try. I'm realistic enough to know that people are going to be more loyal if they make money off of our sites than if they don't so it works both ways.

On the other hand, there are a lot of affiliates I *like* and have a lot of respect and appreciation for even if they don't make many sales for us. I also know we have some affiliates who *like* us, but we don't yet offer the tools or types of promos that make our program worth their while at the moment.

The cool thing is I don't have to choose who I like bestest or prefer the most . . . as long as affiliates play fair and give promoting us a shot or even just sign up to promote us later it's really all good. Although I do find it really obnoxious when people slap up pages with links to ever single gallery we offer (not many, but when they do the same thing to sites with hundreds of fhg's I think it's really counterproductive and not a good partnership).

I prefer experienced affiliates that have established traffic networks. These affiliates usually know what they are looking for and what to expect from a good sponsor.

I least prefer affiliates that sent a total of 300 clicks and email wondering why they haven't made a sale.

For this reason I have designed my sites to convert in 300 clicks or less!

neither A B or C, I prefer ones who can think for themselves and know how to work the net, not ones who only submit galleries.
the affiliates of mine who do the best had a free site long before joining my affiliate program and did not make a site to make money, but because they liked the stuff they were into.
