    Webmaster gets 6 months in jail for cam girl sex.

    This webmaster, TJay, has an interesting story. His story ending includes 6 months in jail, 6 months of work release, and 5 years of probation. He had sex with a 14 year old girl on live cam after she apparently showed a fake ID saying she was over 18.

    The guy is an active member of one of the adult webmaster boards too. Anyone have any thoughts on his sentence? Fair, not fair?

                  The guy should definately take responsibilty for what he did. Like you said, if you have to ask how old she is, she's too young. But the girl shouldn't get off scott free either. She should do some time in juvenile hall or some community service.

                  It's kind of like Traci Lords lying about her age, and then walking away leaving a legal mess behind for her unknowing employer. And she still benefits from using the name "Traci Lords" to this day. How fair is that? There are 2 guilty parties here.

                      Looks to me likie he "KNEW of 3 escort services" being ran by the company he worked for, he could have backed out then, and my only guess is since he knew they were running prostitution, he may have known her age?

                          Wow, I just went to the Amateur Masters board and it seems they all support the guy, but they all say the same thing over and over, "Sorry that chick had a fake ID" or something towards that,

                                      There were no assumptions, and nothing I said was stupid aside from my recent fandom towards Traci, Im not going to get into some big war on this because its not my style, but hey maybe I missed something, I read he was hired to build for a company, got mixed up in whatever, and in the end the outcome was his arrest for fucking a 14 year old and finally his being jailed, I had nothing to do with it

                                          He got screwed by the system. The penalties for using false I.D. should be entirely the burden of the user. When some kid fakes out a 80 year old man running a liquor store and the 80 year old man loses his business, thats just bullshit. And in this case where a girl who looks 20 fakes out a photog with false I.D. she should do the time for the underage sex and for using a false I.D.

                                              I totally agree with you Sleepy. Some fake ID's are done so professionally, that it is hard to tell if they are fake. The girl should be locked up, how the hell the guy knew that she was 14. That's why in Boston now for buying liquor they scan your licence, so there is no way of giving fake ones and this way the liquor store owner dont get in trouble for selling alcohol to minors.

                                                  I read all of that, and without knowing more I can't make a decision on my opinion. Some of his statements make no sense.

                                                  I hated law school but the moralistic arguements were great, really challenging.

                                                  Its a pity I spent 3 years with 90% of my time studing Landlord & Tenant or Succession, total crap.

                                                          A few months ago there was very interesting show on British TV about her whole scandal. They pulled in some of the big names in the industry at the time and not one of them had anything positive to say. Even Tom Byron who was her lover at the time. He thinks he is sleeping with an adult and she turns out to be jailbait.

How could this girl's mom have been so out of touch with her own daughter? It takes some major planning and conniving to get a fake i.d. at 14, and this girl is no "victim". I don't feel bad for the guy either. If a girl was sixteen and was trying to pass herself off as an 18 year old that is one thing, but 14? Come on! No 14-year-olds look 18, no way, I'm sorry, I don't buy that for a second.

                                                                                                      The reason this case originally caught my attention is because so many adult webmasters seemed to be very publicly supporting this person.

                                                                                                      I believe very strongly in the First Amendment and in supporting people who are having their constitutional rights attacked (Larry Flynt, Max Hardcore, Phil Harvey, etc.) but this is a different kind of case.

                                                                                                      This guy has admitted that he had sex with a 14 year old girl. I wonder how bad it might make adult webmasters, or the adult industry, look when we are seen as supporting a webmaster over a 14 year old girl who was, under the law, sexually abused.

                                                                                                      Is there a point at which we cut someone loose because his side, no matter how unfortunate he might make it seem, leaves us all open for attack? We all complain about internet porn not being the same as c--ld porn, which it certainly is not, but then someone comes along and makes a terrible connection between our legal world and the dark illegal side for the media to blow out of proportion. Should we take a stand against this person to show that we really honestly don't tolerate this stuff, or do we try to defend someone because he was once a part of our industry? It's something to think about.

The warehouses of the newly envouge video tapes had to be cleared of every production that had her in it. That includes complilations and her own features. None of them could ever be sold as they were now kiddie porn. Not to mention the amount it cost the industy in legal fees.

                                                                                                                                                      NikKay, the point has been (validly in my opinion) made that this girl was a runaway; a drug addict and a prostitute. I imagine she was a lot older mentally than 14 because that lifestyle would do that to you.

                                                                                                                                                      However, having said that, not having photocopied ID is inexcusable. And what about AIDS tests certificates? In my opinion, "amateurs" need to emulate the video porn industry with regard to paperwork and legalities. Until they do, you're going to see more and more of this. :-/

I rather suspect that in order to be convicted, the ID must have been fairly obviously doctored to the average person. But, I wasn't there at the trial.
