yep, only after seeing it do i see what you mean, i just got back from it.

fortunitley it seems that is has worked. Ithink they have changed the whole aspect of the bond film around. that now it is not "fun for boys" and that daniel craig does fit the need.

so yeh he would have been too good for previous bond movies, but I think this one has been pitched up a knot. (i.e. no gadgets and less of the catchphrases)


great start to the movie, i loved the chase with the crains!

bit slow at the end I think I prefer the fun for the boys movies!

Just saw Bond. Best Bond ever. Eva Green was gorgeous. Best Bond girl ever.

This was the rookie bond, and they break him in, in this movie. When you see it you will understand.

I recommend everyone go see it in the theatre... the crazy "jackie-chan" shit they do is amazing ... I loved this movie.

Whoever did the casting in this movie should make 25% of the total gross on the movie... that chick was so hot, bond was awesome... hats off to this movie.

he gets all the hot girls and I saw her in the trailer.....

Went and saw this the other night, I agree, it was top notch.

The previews they show before the that one movie (fuck, cant remember its name) that is supposed to be about how the CIA was created made that look damn good too.

it was ok to watch... but had a lot of little problems for sure. it starts on a very high note with a cool chase scene that gets you pumped for unbelievable action and then the goes almost totally flat.... and then has an ending that makes very little sense.

That scene where Bond gets his balls busted (literally) just about made me hurl. That was terrible to even watch and think about...

1) he takes that land rover and crashes it... then goes to the security room showing that the incident was clearly caught on cam, videos are recorded... he continues to stay at the hotel and apparently the security staff (we are suppposed to believe) never checked the video. no one cared.

2) the guys wife (the greek guy). huh? her husband is a crazy killer... she just walks into bonds room and is going to fuck him. that seemed like a real stretch. not to mention the fact that she gets into his own car at the same hotel where bond just won it from him in a poker game to go around in a circle and enter the hotel again. i didn't buy that.

3) they are in a 5 star hotel/casino in Montenegro, one of the two black guys fires an unsilenced round at him... also blowing a hole in the wall. a 150 million dollar poker game is going on among the other concerns.. but it apparently goes unnoticed.

4) he gets his ass kicked... is cut up, bleeding and kills two people during his 1 hr break. comes back to the game looking like he just took a nap on happy clouds surrounded with white doves.

5) the love story. very flawed. they establish that he is an emotionless, cold hearted prick and killer.... and that she is a cold, shut down cunt. ... they establish that they have no respect for each other.... then, out of the blue, they are in love because he sucks her finger after she helps him kill two people. NOT ONLY in love... but completely out of the blue, they are both SOOOOOOO in love that they are both ready to leave MI6, run away together and live happily ever after.

6) venice - watching the building sink was kinda cool. i mean it was creative, but who the fuck really believes that huge, 5-6 story brick buildings are floating on pontoons that can rupture at any moment. the building sinks up to the roof before settling.

7) - the building doesn't collapse.... as it more or less falls apart and sinks, listing back and forth from side to side. not very believable either.

8) she drowns. he watches her drown. he free's her and brings her out. i understand that not everyone here is a medic... but first thing you do... pump the water out of the lungs. second, clear the airway... third, tilt the head back.... etc.

she would have died anyway because he apparently doesn't know basic CPR

9) the end... ok... call me cynical, but i was struggling to put it all together. he coldly says "its over, the bitch is dead" - i thought that was the end... there it was. closure.. except the money is gone.

then it continued on. he finds that guy, shoots him in the leg. why? for what? who was he? where was it going from there? it was done as if was intended to be a cliffhanger for the next film... but didnt make sense. its not very clear and you have to assume something happened next, that he got the money etc. but if you dont know... why care? imagining what happened next defeats the purpose of going to a movie to begin with.

i could go on for a very long time probably... but thats enough cynicism for tonight

hmm.. interesting.. been seeing it all over but I'm not that curious to watch the film.. maybe it's time to take a peek

I hated the Chris Cornell theme. Utter forgettable tune. And the animated Opening Credits looked like a screensaver cum music video which isn't really clever, just playing with the card motif (reminds me of late Nineties techno music videos), which also isn't exactly original.

i was also actually surprised with this guy as James Bond. i thought he nailed it. the overly blue eyes were a little much and borderline creepy but i thought he was very believable as James Bond.

Didn't do it for me, not cheeky or suave enough, too brutal for the Bond brand in my opinion.

agreed, he was great, love the movie, the only thing is you kinda have to forget all other bond movies for it to make sense.
