    How can i get an iPhone app developed for my site?

    how much would an iphone app cost, that just let members check their emails and send messages through their iphone

          Just FYI if you didnt already know: Apple does not allow adult apps of any kind to be installed, but if you can get it to work via mobile thats the way to go.

                                      Incorrect, they do not allow any apps of adult nature in the Apple App Store. But adult apps do work on the iphone.

                                                  We need sort of the same thing. But a java app that works on all phones. Here in the netherlands you have the Hyves (i guess facebook has the same thing) app which is what i want, but for a totally different thing, just the technical idea seems the same. Any idea what thast may cost, give or take?

                                                      I believe Apple has a policy of not allowing apps that duplicate functionality already offered by their own apps. You'd better check that out before paying someone to do an app that will probably get rejected.

                                                              we recommend working on a mobile web based solution for a few good reasons:

                                                              - No dealing with Apple and their rules. They have a brand of their own to protect, and to be honest making money on iPhone Apps is a bandwagon that has long left.

                                                              - Much more handset coverage. Why would you want to deliberately prevent most of the mobile surfers from using your service?

                                                              - We build specific iPhone designs, so that they get a better user experience, but they are only 20% of the traffic our clients are getting, believe it or not the PSP is the next most popular handset.
