I don't know, it's hard to say... there are TONS of adult sites out there, but think of all of the small businesses, personal websites, blogs, photo sites, school sites, government sites, military sites, hobby sites, ect. ect.

I think if you really think about all of the industries, businesses, and personal websites there could be in the world I could see it easily outweighing adult websites.

its in Spanish,
but for those who doesn't understand, it says that only 1% of the www sites are adult explicit.
i couldn't believe that, thats why i'm posting here... does anybody know the % of adult web pages on the net?

"Media" sources typically peg it at 12% with 4.2 million sites & 372 million pages.

Even if an updated count of 1% was completely accurate, the statistic doesn't "sell" stories/papers/agendas so it's doubtful that any media outlet would give it more than a mention. Statistics & polls like this are only useful to give the perception of credibility to a particular point of view and I'm sure 99.9% of people would agree with that.
