Big props to Porno Dan in baltimore! (And a crazy TRUE story!)
First off....Dan seriously has one of the nicest restaurant/bars in Baltimore. Really fucking nice...nothing but top shelf liquor, hot bartenders, cool 20-something crowd, live band jamming in the corner & taking requests. And a very posh restaurant seating area on the other side. And dan himself is probably one of the nicest/most professional guys I've had the pleasure of meeting.
So anyways me & doug from Ironpath networks are out having a few drinks with some friends (a few too many lol) and we roll by Dan's bar (i had seen pictures from his post about redskins games on here before) so i make doug slam on the brakes, so we can drop in......
I stumble in (buzzing), mention my name, next thing i know I've got shots of Russian vodka headed my way on the house. The rest is kind of a blur, & I'm sure i was being a drunk idiot....but Dan showed nothing but hospitality as we downed many more drinks...& shouted our requests at the band
Now heres the beauty part....Dan hooks me up with a little sample dvd of his work (which in the next hour will SAVE me), i put it in my pocket....me & doug roll out. On the way back doug becomes a little ill, so we pull off the side of the road (we were on a back road near industrial buildings, no traffic etc.)..Doug is doing his "ill" thing....& i'm standing outside the car with him.
Next thing we know a cop rolls up, He's NOT happy! (to say the least). Fortunately the keys were out of the ignition. He starts busting my balls...hardcore....
Suddenly in my buzzed haze....I realize i have Dan's tasty porno gift in my pocket.
I look straight at the cop & say "Look man, everyones been here before....you think maybe you could look the other way for us this time?" (As i'm handing him the porn dvd), he looks at it....gives a huge grin....puts it on the seat next to him...says "call a cab next time, & take care of your friend" and drives off.
A Porno Dan dvd saved both of our asses for at least a drunk in public charge, possibly trespassing.
Dan is now officially THE MAN! And once again, the power of porn & a little pimp persuasion is shown!
Now if you'll excuse me, i need a long nap!
