A little background ...
I met her when i was 24 and she was 19. We lived together for about 2 yrs. Had a lot of fun. Great sex life. Had threesomes with another girlfreind of ours and it was an ongoing thing. It was a good time
Towards the end of our relationship (the last couple months) I was struggling financially but everything was good on the homefront ... or so i thought!
One night I caught her cheating on me with her boss who was 10 yrs older than her at the time and very successful in the Real Estate Management biz. I flipped out, and smashed all the windows on his car with a baseball bat. Called him out to talk to me but I was a lunatic pacing back and forth carrying a baseball bat so he wouldn't budge and threatened to call the police.
I knew that "it was all on her" of course - she cheated ... she was the one to blame - but there was something about her boss and his arrogance that made me want to beat his ass. He knew we were together and disrespected me. Where I come from that deserved a beating. He avoided me of course, and luckily never filed a police report. LOL
Anyway, obviously I cut her off and went on with my life.
So, here we are 12 years later and she hits me up. My life has changed dramatically as has hers. We talk on the phone for about an hour and play catch up. She apologizes for cheating on me. I could care less at this stage in my life but was courteous nonetheless. The boss dumped her a couple weeks later. She's married with 3 kids. Lives in a small farming town. yadda yadda yadda. That's it. It was nice catching up.
Anyway, a week later I found this post on her blog:

And, let's say that person made it like they were super happy? You got the feeling while you were in the shower today that you're pretty pissed off that you don't have a nanny, nice house in the hills, extra money and whatnot. Were you getting the feeling like maybe you should have held out longer and tried to work it out with your ex?
However, you do have your own house, nice kids, you don't have to work and your husband is only a jerk some of the time.
Would you still be pissed? Would you want to ask this ex-whatever to come off it and tell you that their life has its' sucky moments? Would you like for them to tell you in detail just how their life has sucked?
And would you love to hear it?
