Lets just illustrate it with simple math:
If ratio 1:100 become 1:200 you cut the income by 50%, which is bad for the industry. But "the shit for free" has only changed from 99% to 99.5%, a 0.5% point change.
The adult industry is not exactly supplier of food and water, so when people say "there is no money in porn", that is both true and false from different perspectives
