    How many of you don't like porn or this industry?

    Curious - how many of you are in this JUST for the money, and don't like porn or the industry?


    There are a LOT of good people in this game but I'm so sick and tired of those that keep in it yet you KNOW don't like porn or the people in it..... you can spot them a mile away from how they suck up and only to who they perceive as the big players

    Honestly I think they are the reason for MOST of the scams that have occured....

                              I have never been a fan of watching porn in my personal time but I do love working in this industry for a company that works hard to put out a quality product.

                              When I first started in adult, sure it was about the money... but it was also about providing people with what they want and doing something that is fun to do. I love creating new sites, getting traffic, getting customers, etc... and still do today.

                              I don't care if it's porn, running shoes or tv dinners... if there is a demand, it will be filled.

                              We are lucky to work in an industry that is filled with such smart and talented people. I hear a lot of people say we steal ideas from mainstream but I think mainstream looks at us a lot because EVERYONE is searching the net for porn.

                                          I really don't like porn, never have. Nothing against it but its as dull as hell for me, especially some of the acting up is just painful to watch. The worst part of my work is having to edit videos or watch them, or deal with any form of content. I do enjoy the traffic, stats, numbers and SEO game though. Am a normal hetro guy who likes women

                                          Though I do quite well selling it and have done so for years, just like any product you break it down, learn what makes it sell, and learn how to sell it. Its just a product afterall.

                                                                  But what I do like, is working at home in my pajamas. I like not driving to work. I like not having a boss. I like not having a phone in my bedroom or setting an alarm clock. I like not answering to anyone, or even having to work with anyone. I like making way more money than people that have college degrees and 'great jobs'.

                                                                  The 'likes' outweigh the 'dislikes'.

Yes I have become de-sensitized to it a bit but I still enjoy it, and thats what matters. That and working from home & seeing my kids each day.

                                                                                                                                                                                      When I was doing this part-time years ago I used to get up at 6AM travel into the city and get home at 9PM so this has made me appreciate how good it is. I just wish the income levels would pick up again as its been going downhill lately.

I just wouldnt be doing it for free is all im saying. Even though I love this industry and its opportunities.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Setting my own hours, working from home, not working at all, or basically doing whatever I want to do at that given minute is also super important to me. Almost just as much as the money.

                                                                                                                                                                                          If i was one of the "doing it for beer money" types I would quit and do something else. I would still look at porn every now and then though. ;)

I'm less interested in "porn" than I am in the accessibility and acceptance of full-spectrum sex-positivity -- which includes porn. My interest in the product itself waxes and wanes, but my interest in serving the needs of the consumer doesn't - that's why I am a fan of popularisation vs keeping it "dirty" or "in the closet."
