    Joomlafags step in!

I've been using Wordpress for ages now. Suddenly Joomla has my attention. So whats so great about Joomla? What's the learning curve on it? Who makes the best premium themes? What should I look into as far as plugins go? What are the must have Joomla goodies?

Server was hacked and taken over via Joomla last month

Data center told us, " if you value your biz, stay away from joomla"

I find it kind of disturbing how this place is adopting 4chan speak so much lately

There are a few people on the board that are avid surfers of 4chan.

D null is another one that posts Boxxy pictures and YouTube videos constantly like anybody here gives a shit.

As far as Joomla is concerend, I was warned to stay away from it as well for several reasons.

First and foremost, security holes. Like any open source script, there are bound to be a million and one vulnerabilities constantly getting exposed in public forums around the world.

Second, I was told that if the site it is used on is high traffic, then the script can become very unstable and slow.

After those two things, I never even bothered to try it.

Drupal IS Joomla , and if youre running a paysite stay the hell away from Joomla, trust me.. I developed alot with joomla in the very beginning of my site, including one of the few payment gateways that links into CCbill using the postback system for sales.. Its good for a blog, but even then i would suggest wordpress. Step away from the joomla.
                    RUN even.

I am currently playing around with it on a person project. The only thing I really liked was the add in I got to take my blog area and link it to my vbulletin install. So the users can log in to main site or the forum. I should have looked more into wp though.
