I've never listened to the radio show...but I liked his TV show while it lasted.
I don't think the average man on the street is this conservative but he is stupid and swayed by advertising. Name recognition is 90% of winning an election. Republicans can afford advertising to brainwash people, which is how they win elections. Then the same people that elected them cry when they fuck up the school with creationism instead of evolution, burn books, and ban their precious porn and drugs (but not firearms of course).
