Street magician at the epoch party...unreal [how did he do it?]

Probably the best Ive seen.

This guy walks up to us:

The guy makes me pick a card. I write my name on it with marker. He throws it on the floor it lands with my name facing up. he asks a random person to turn it over and step on it.

He then opens his jacket and pulls out an envelope. It's sealed with a sticker. He hands it to my partner (so I know he's not a plant) and asks him to make sure the envelope is sealed...it is. My partner rips the envelope open and my card with my name on it was inside. The girl lifts up her foot and flips it over, there's a queen of hearts under there.

there were only about four of us standing around him and we were all astonished...

I'll be up for weeks on that one.

Actually, my partner attepted to hand him a wallet and said ok good one, here's your wallet back, and the guy looked shocked for a minute like " did he lift my wallet" it was very funny.

Incidentally we tried to slip him a $20 and he refused, said he ca't take a tip. pretty noble if you ask me.

I don't want to "call you out" because it is very complicated and the number of variables on how a deal is structured is almost endless, but the porn co. was a private sub and public bookeeping always shows less profit since stock issues count as expenses and about 1000 other reasons. Not to mention it was the beginning of the Mobbucks launch (like literally the first four months) before we pulled it out.

Incidentally I highly recommend what we did from a financial perspective. And i have a decent amount of experience doing it. let's just say we did very very good for ourselves. When the company started to earn the big bucks we extracted from the public entity and took the sub private.

I've raised about $12,000,000 for my own co's in the past five years, one got sold to TD Waterhouse, one Computer Associates, and brought two of them public through reverse merger not traditional IPO, and have been a licensed stock broker since '96. So I have an idea what i'm doing.

Trust me the decision served us all well. As for the state of mobbucks now, you'll have to ask mike. Aside from investment banking I have been doing my own thing for over six months now. I'm a solo flyer. coimpany I am working with now has about 100 million behing it. So give a guy some props for Christ Sakes.

So I worked with a friend from the Magic Castle to book some great acts.
