    If you wanted to learn a 4th language, which would you choose?

    I already am fluent in English, French and Spanish. I've been thinking of adding a 4th to my repertoire, but not sure which.

    I'm thinking German or Japanese, since I think they both sound pretty cool

    Any thoughts?

              you planning on spending more time in EU or Asia?

              What do you use to learn the languages, I've been thinking about Japanaese myself for a minute now, spoke it at a very beginner level years ago while training, but lost everything now. Lack of use and to much time passed.

                              No idea where I'll end up, but for now learning the 4th language is more for fun purposes, not business. That's why I'm leaning towards Japanese.

                              Not sure they teach that here in CR so I'd likely try out that Rosetta Stone stuff for it, see how that goes.

                                          I think Mandarin is ranked as one of the top 3 most difficult languages to learn... I understand it'd be the best for business wise after what I already know, but this is more for fun so I'm not sure I'd want to put that much hardcore effort and time into it.

                                                  Actually, it might be because I went through a high school that was 99% Italian (Montreal Italians, where everyone spoke like they thought they were Scarface or The Sopranos) - but I'm pretty much turned off from Italian forever

                                                      I've been dieing to check out that software. Old grade school buddy of mine became a language specialist for the spooks here, and most of his lingual training was done on rosetta.

                                                                                      I would say Japanese or German. Japanese if a fun language and not many regular white guys speak it fluently (however, I do) :P

                                                                                      German would be another big language that's used pretty widely in Eastern EU.

Though here and there I'll try it, the eel one is pretty good. The main reason you'll ever find me at a Japanese restaurant is for the Sake (though Torrance has an extremely good Yakitori place where they ONLY speak Japanese - fun times)

                                                                                                                              So, back to the question. As far as business-wise, I would probably go with Japanese or Chinese. German would be for fun because I have many friends that live there and I keep finding myself there.

                                                                                                                                  Russian for sure, and once you learn how to read cyrillic (which isn't hard at all) you will be surprised how it starts to make sense and even look easy sometimes
