Anybody use eBuddy as an ICQ client for IPhone?

Would you recommend it? Is an effective ICQ client?

I'm looking at switching from my Treo (which has a crap ICQ client) to an IPhone. If eBuddy is any good, I'll probably make the switch. Any comments?

(I know the IPhone "rocks", but I'm looking for specific feedback on eBuddy.)

I hate the blackberry's push email, so that's not an option.

Yeah, but I guess I'm in the minority. I like to get my email when *I* want it.

Haven't used eBuddy yet, looks nice, will have to download it and check it out. I've used the AIM and ICQ clients on the iPhone and I prefer the AIM option.

i have been thinking of setting up my own blackberry server just for quality control when done right you get emails within 1-2 min's on your blackberry its no quicker to click a email app on your phone and have it look for emails.

                  No, not yet, unfortunately.

I think _the_ app to get for instant messenging on iPhone if you want to shell out money is Beejive. It does everything so well but the price is a bit steep (15.99 normal, 9.99 on sale). I can sign on to multiple screennames across the spectrum (AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, Gtalk, etc) and it allows for me to stayed sign up for 24+ hrs after I turn off the app if I need to.

I just found Beejive, and frankly, it looks better than eBuddy. I like the fact I can save history with Beejive; def'n a plus.
