I needed to adjust a lot! The pace of the island and the fact that it after a while the island closes in on you were the hardest.

What exactly do you do for 9 months? I know some people from Hawaii and they go nuts after a while, and I would imagine Hawaii has a lot more going on than Curacao.

I love the whole tropical paradise idea, but I don't know how long I could hack it without the basic luxuries I've grown accustomed to.

People move to the Caribbean like its an escape to paradise, but after awhile you're ready to go someplace else. I lived in Puerto Rico for awhile. I had more fun after I moved inland away from the coast and away from paradise.
