In blind testing by Microsoft employee, users hate Bing, love Google

A Microsoft employee named Michael Kordahi set up this cool blind "taste test" for search engines,
a test that their marketing department will NOT be publicizing they way they publicized the
    security "test" they paid for.

You search for something, and it shows the results from Google, Yahoo, and Bing - without
telling you which is which, so you can vote on which results are best:
    http://blindsearch.fejus.com/

In the first eight weeks, users voted the results from Google as best, Yahoo as second, and Bing last.
Dictionary.com defines Bing as "a heap or pile" and this test by a Microsoft employee proves that right -
    Bing's a heaping pile alright!

finally decided to check bing out.. not for general web searches but more for shopping some electronics and airfares.. through them everything that i've searched for wasn't cheaper on a contrary more expensive.. so that didn't work out too well.

Google has always been on top of the results part... they just haven't changed their UI in years... I like Bing's UI but Google's results :P

Will be interesting once they start the licensing of Wolfram Alpha. Might make it useful for something over Google at least.

I would have to agree with that. Which is funny because Bing is still about 100x better then the old MS search.

As long as yahoo and google keep giving me first page love, I'll stick with them.

I tried to find a reasonably obscure term... Yahoo was out the door after I'd seen the first few results, then it was between Bing and Google... Bing won!

('course I only knew the identities after I voted...)

Somehow you can easily tell which Results belong to Google, Yahoo or Bing, or am I spending too much time with SEO work?
