50 cities where communism was born
it was very cool... right across the street from the square and winter palace. it was very cool to just walk out the front door at night, when its quiet and snowing and just walk over there and look at the palace and the lights at night.
I also lived close to Mariinski Teatr near Yusopovski Dvorets where Rasputin was killed.
if you are Russian, i also lived in another apartment and Alexander Rosenbaum was my neighbor. i think the comedian guy who is the bald clown with long blond hair in the back (can't remember his name) also lived in that building because i saw him on the street all the time there. the guy with dark hair/mustache from Gorodok and also the two guys from Chai v Dvoyem were at my gym all the time. I also met Alla Pugachova and Maxsim Galkin and many others in Moscow when i lived across the street from Metellitsa
St Petersburg is amazing. I have lived in a lot of cities in Russia and St Petersburg is not only my favorite Russian city but i have also been to almost every major city in Europe (over 18 countries) and St Petersburg is my favorite among all of them. it has an amazing history, amazing architecture, incredible places and things to see and people are also much nicer there than in Moscow and other cities (I can't stand Moscow). I am planning to go back there in the fall and buy a new place there, even though i live in the US.
