Hurricane Bill passed by Florida on the perfect track to send huge waves to our coast without all the wind and rain usually
associated with a hurricane and the end result was the kind of day us Florida surfer dream about
I went to one of my favorite spots that I knew would not only hold the super size swell it would be a great spot for pictures.
Another plus is you can drive on the beach so your car is right there and all your stuff is easy to reach.
The surf was about as big as it gets here and looked intimidating from the beach.
Only the best surfers in top physical condition stand a chance to make it all the way out.
Those that made the paddle were rewarded with perfect waves.
One of the best vantage points for spectators is out on the jetty and everyone found a spot to watch the action.
This lucky guy catches a wave that we would usually have to travel for.
Back when I first started surfing there weren't many girls in the water but now they're charging it hard.
With size there is speed and this guy takes full advantage of all that power.
On the inside the waves were a bit smaller but more hollow and this guy has it covered.
Bill will go down as one of the best Hurricanes for surfing and I'm glad I was there to capture the action.
In fact it was so good I'm sure that every surfer left the beach that day with a smile.
