I see where you're coming from, but on the other hand, many people on the right are trying to make it out that ANY government-supplied healthcare is Socialism. They neglect to consider instances like you're talking about, as well as Medicaid and Medicare. They're being reactionary based on their political beliefs, rather than on a thought out position that considers alternatives.
