Un fucking believable, again another package from us is held at the US customs as they don't believe it is promo material. Now they want to question the one we wanted to sent it. They think its some new clothing line or something. Jezus fucking christ, check the shirt you moron. You honestly think someone will wear this is public?

I always hear its other countrys that have the strict customs system. I have no problem ordering anything from anywhere (except amsterdam and ebay) and it arriving on my doorstep in a timely manner.

I hear from Canadians that they sometimes have a tough time recieving stuff from the US also.

Horror story -custom-

Last year I spend 4 months in the USA, while there I purshased an espresso machine (I'm a coffee addict).
I ship it back to canada VIA UPS in it's original package.
When I received it at home. The box was open, the protection stuff wasn't in the box anymore. They had open the machine at the customs to check inside the pump if I wasn't hiding stuff in it (WTF??), while opening it they broke the machine.
I ship a 4 months old machine in it's original package, I receive a broken machine in a big box with no protection.
The worst part; I had an insurrance with UPS and they don't wan't to pay me.

What we do for out of the country clients comming to the US for a show is we will mail the package directly to the hotel so you dont have to mess with customs and you are 100% sure you will get your promo material.

I feel your pain...customs, in general, not only US, are a pain.

So many times we shipped items, gifts, promo things...and it never got there, or worst, we got the shipment back - EMPTY !

I had shipped 2 of my editing computers to the US for work and when they got there, both of my computers weren't working cause they had ripped out the harddrives and hadn't even bothered to put them back in their slots, they just let them bang around inside my computer (thus fucking up my harddrives and my motherboard).

You want to know whats worse? I paid something like 400$ in insurance and Fedex refused to honor it cause I couldn't prove that the computers weren't damaged during the shipment (as if having the harddrives bouncing around inside the case isn't proof enough)
