Not only that, but he basically admitted that he lied to reporters and the American people about Rumsfeld's stepping down. The trustworthyness just POURS out of his mouth. They are grilling his ass now and the ballots are still warm. I fucking love it.

Actually, it was a complete lie lmao. That's the irony in the statement. "Shows what I know" was meant to dismiss the fact that he knew PRIOR to his press conference last week that Rumsfeld would be leaving office, yet he made a mental decision in favor of POLITICS and CAMPAIGNING over telling the truth about it.

He lied to the people, plain and simple to try and keep his people in power in the house and senate and has basically admitted it today. What else would he lie about to keep his people in power?

It kills me though that all the reporters NEVER ask the hardcore obvious followups. Absolutely kills me that they let him off the hook on shit like that.

I thought he preceded that statement with "I thought we were going to win the elections."

No, the "Shows what I know" was in reference to him thinking at the time that he made the statement last week Rumsfeld would be staying on full term. I will check the transcripts when it's all said and done but if I am not mistaken, that was where the Shows what I know came in.

I bet the rest of his party absolutely shit themselves everytime he has Q&As and has to answer stuff on his own.

I'm not sure Iraq had much to do with the results of this vote
