In an interview she say "she believe it is a bigger crime to deport them" so she know they are wrong, at the same time the police director stated in this interview:

The police welcomes complaints it's stated in the article as well.
I'm sure you would appreciate next time there is violent demonstrators in your neighborhood doing illegal demonstrations that the police will bring coffee and donuts so we can all sit down and talk about this mess
