Do you think Russia wouldn't do the same if some NATO country attacked it's army (not even mention civilians with Russian and American citizenship)? As you may remember, Russian peacekeepers were attacked by regular Georgian army by direct order of Saakashvili - the guy who preys on Stalin and Beria. I can assure you, NATO won't protect Georgia from a deserved vengeance.
