A search/category/date option.... some way to just jump straight to an event, a show or a year.... and view the galleries that fall into those options.

names of people - you could leave this as a social exercise - like a wiki. when people know the names of the people they could add them. start with your own pics and build from there

tagging/tag cloud would be interesting too

a feature borrowing from digg.com where if people like a picture they can 'digg' it and then the most popular pictures get added to a front page - the is dynamically generated.

definately allow comments - but for registered members only. should be *very* easy to police - again in the way digg works and people can alert mods to spam and also 'digg down' comments that are shit, so they just don't get seen. users can also be blocked. lots of ways to do it.

use some sort of gallery script like Menalto's Gallery mixed with PhpAdsNew for your ads, that way people can comment, log in, add captions, etc.....

make the whole site very interactive, that way you can get more ad bucks because people are staying on the site longer, and it will make viewing the pics much easier...the way it is now is very archaic, let's see some high tech gallery shit in there!!

seriously, it has been needed for a long while, and I CAN NOT wait man! one of the big things I have always thought would go really well on your site was the ability to log in and comment on pictures, can you imagine how long people would stay on the site just to comment on their favorite pics?

and if you could some how incorporate a ad system into the comments somehow, hell, that would be more revenue for you

also, FYI, you can set up Menalto's Gallery software to watermark images for you, so, all you would have to is zip up the raw images that you wanna put in the system, tell it what watermark, and it will grab the zip and process everything in multiple image sizes, all with the watermark on them, in a matter of minutes......which would be great for those little buttons you sell on the images

It really is an amazing open source, free, image gallery system
