Question for solo site owners and models

Okay, I was wondering; you put up a site for a girl or you are a model launching your own solo site. The model in question have done some shoots in the past and signed releases for these pictures which might end pretty much anywhere on the net. Fine.

What if you find the pictures of your model (or yourself if you are running your own site) on a sex phone site along with a profile where another model pretends to be you as her clients calls her? Or what if you find profiles of yourself or your model displayed on a webcam site that you are actually not broadcasting on?

I know how model releases works; if you signed them, you have no longer control on where they might end up: but is the situation above different? Can the site or person who's using your pics can be considered doing 'false representation' somehow?

I suppose something could be done about that but really depends on what the terms of the release were

It´s maybe a problem for European based sites. If the model and/or the name of the model is well known, you may not use the name to advertise in any kind without her permission.

For the pictures it depends on if they were used legally. Maybe the solo girl has done shoots before and those pictures are used, no problem using them. If the pics are stolen, well...

But you will not be allowed to advertise that it´s the solo girl on the dating site if she isn´t. But of course it´s done.

I´m not sure about US laws so far.

Right, well im talking more if the pictures were sold to that person... I mean to me its different to have one of your model's old pics posted on a site saying 'here is one of our model's galleries' type of thing, but a person saying, 'this is me, call me now' implying that the client will be talking to that girl on these pictures even though they were bought legally?
