Don't get pumped up too much with hype, and you'll enjoy it. It's not the best sci-fi movie ever, but it sure does show the kind of film a pure geek can make, when un-molested by the Hollywood process.
I won't give away too much, but in the last 20 minutes, some serious ass-kicking takes place, and the thing thats so cool about it is the pseudo-documentary feel. The effects are so good and well integrated into the shots. You never catch yourself thinking "that's CGI". The stuff looks real.
