Depends, are they people who are wine drinkers. Regular wine drinkers would prefer a better wine, so cork or screw cap, it doesn't matter. If they really don't drink wine often, only for special occasions, i'd bring one with a cork.
I myself, don't care either way. If it's good wine, it's good wine. Would you really want to disappoint with a lesser tasting wine, I would think that is much worse.
