My girl wanted to give a bottle of wine to a friend as a gift. She picked out a bottle at a discount wine shop that was $30. I told her to pick a bottle with a cork even if it is not as good of a wine.

There seem to be more and more quality wines that are using screw tops. Is it silly to insist on a cork for a gift bottle? I think it makes the bottle look cheap.
