its building pages using subdomains. search engines count sub domains as seperate websites.

a simple way to get a small network is setting up blogs on subdomains and using rss feeds.

It's never too late to catch a moving train as long as you have good shoes so you can run fast. I've done it figuratively as regards your question by having a variety of automation scripts as well as literally when I almost missed a train in Outer Mongolia that only came by once a week.
