To expand on a post I made in a previous thread, what are some of your favorite freebees, comps, swag or promo items you've recieved over the years?
Here are a few of mine:
Free transportation- stretching out in a limo after escaping an airport is such a great perk. Thanks NetBilling and WebBilling
The Girlfriends Films pink pen. Just you're average pen. Not sure if it's gel ink or not but it's quality and it lives in my purse now. Probably cost a few extra cents per peice, but totally worth the upgrade.
RoboMail's silver sharpies they gave away over the weekend @ Internext- these are great anytime, but can come especially in handy at shows when encountering the double sided glossy / UV coat business cards
The Porn Poker Tour's "Fucking River!" t-shirt. I usually don't think of shirts as great swag, especially after I found litterally a stack of adult internet swag shirts at a Goodwill, but this is one I really wear.
The TopBucks (I am pretty sure it was Topbucks) business card booklet I got at Cybernet Expo in San Diego
The Internext desk set with the silver pen and pen holder. I can't remember what year it was from but I think everyone who did a booth at Vegas might have gotten one from AVN Online. Chris would probably know. It was silver and really nice and I had it out on my desk for a long time.
And last but not least, Netbilling's lighters. When I smoked these were a total lifesaver! Go through an airport, get your lighters nabbed... and there's Mitch and crew to save the day!
I kinda shit on contests. I've never received ANYTHING I've ever won in a contest.
So what swag have you enjoyed? Any company promos you felt were really useful to you and effective branding for the sponsor who provided them?
