Why do gay people need to "come out of the closet"

This has befuzzed me forever. I don't go around (and not that I would want too) announcing that I like to eat pussy so why is it ok for gay men to announce they prefer the cock? They want to tell you their story and expect you to listen to it.

My thought process is to be who you are, do what you do but keep your mouth shut about it - nobody really cares if you want to gargle the white spunk! If you're gay and doing gay things..... people will figure it out on their own without the need to tell them.

Gay's tend to make it a point to "announce" that they are different then they say they want (and expect) to be treated the same which is pretty much a lie.

They don't want to be treated the same, they want to be treated "special".

Think I'm wrong? Let me give you an example

Turn on any comedy show on HBO where the comedian is black and you'll hear the "N" word used hundreds of times and it's considered o.k. because the comedian is black and playing to a predominately black crowd. So it's acceptable in today's society for a black man to call another black man the "N" word but when a white man calls a black man the "N" word - he's a racist and it's not to be accepted.

Let's put this into perspective here.....

It's ok for a black man to do something that a white man can't (or shouldn't) do because of his race. That's not equal - that's "special" (and racist in its' own right).

Would it be ok for us to go back to the days of:
Blacks can ride the bus but they have to sit in the back
They can order food at the same restaurant but they can't sit down - their order is to go and they do so from the window in the back of the restaurant - and forget about using that drinking fountain - your's is in the back of the building.

Of course it wouldn't. Equal rights abolished (or was supposed to ) that way of thinking and treatment.

Once you give someone/something equal rights - it so often moves toward getting "special" rights. If you WANT equal rights - you have to be willing to GIVE equal rights.....

Anyways....going back to the "coming out" announcement, I'd say go suck a dick and shut up about it. The only person who "needs" to know you like the ball sack slapping your chin is the guy who owns the ball sack that you WANT to have bouncing off your chin.
