Obama Sells Out To Big Pharma For Obamacare

Tauzin ( pharmaceutical industry?s top lobbyist) said he had not only received the White House pledge to forswear Medicare drug price bargaining, but also a separate promise not to pursue another proposal Obama supported during the campaign: importing cheaper drugs from Canada or Europe. Both proposals could cost the industry billions.
Obamacare is getting to be more of a joke each day. I vote for NObamacare!

I don't know what the answer is. I do know however that unless any plan has provisions to reduce costs, it will be more problematic than what we have now.

It also needs to cover everyone. Obamacare still leaves like 20 million ppl without healthcare.

Obama is not a dumb man, he is a pragmatist, he will get the first national healthcare plan done - it will be far from perfect and people will bitch and complain but he will go down in history as the president who finally got a national healthcare program established. the Clintons failed with their health program because they wouldn't make enough concessions. Once there is a national healthcare program it will never be shut down, not even if the Republicans take back the presidency and congress.
