I just wanted to post this in it's own thread, so that any of you that read the other thread know what's up...

This is the situation.
Michael is someone I consider a friend for the last 10 years... and I have a nice debt to him right now, that unfortunately I can't afford to pay back at this time... michael has been getting pretty much free work out of me since I borrowed this money, and sometimes I'm slow to answer him because I have other clients , 3 kids and all sorts of shit going on lately that has totally fucked up my time schedule. when I don't answer him fast enough, he likes to make these threads, I guess he thinks they're funny ... even though I think more of you see the damage they cause more than he does.
This design stuff isn't making me the money it used to, and the adjustment as been very hard on me... My wife is working full time now for a few months, for the first time in 11 years we've been together, and I'm doing the "Mr Mom" stuff all day with my 3 kids...
While all this seemed like it'd work out at the beginning of the summer, it's obvious now that I can't manage to do both design - and be a stay at home father - both are getting done half assed.
Many of you have used me over the years, and know that I generally like to go over the top to please my clients. do extra work and all sorts of stuff when I'm late ( for example , LACE, I did your blog free of charge, and integrated your whole design free of charge because I was a little late in an attempt to make you happy, which didn't seem to work as one part I couldn't make work properly didn't get done... )
I've always given more than I charge for, most clients will tell you I'm great to work with...
Unfortunately lately I have been unable to maintain this standard and it's got me as upset as all of you.
I've been through more financial bullshit in the last 2 years than ever, my boys are growing and it takes 5x the money to survive, but I can't seem to charge 1x the price of what a designs worth lately...
instead of coming on here whoring for work, I've sat back, like a fool and figuired everything would work itself out..
Anyway, I have a tendancy to ramble.. so I'll cut this short, I'm no scammer, I'm not purposely flakey..
I'm a good designer, who's struggling by the skin of his teeth to not let his baby fail, and you know.. maybe I should've walked away from design once the money started dropping, but this is my BABY, this design thing... it's my passion, it's what I love to do, so I've hung on as long as I can and probably more.
On that note, I'm going to end this thread hopefully.. if anyone has had any issues with me this summer, please shoot me an email and I will try to make it right, I will be slow until school starts and I get my kids out of my hair though, so please no rush orders.
On a side note, if anyone that knows me and trusts me wants to pre-order $1k worth of design ( 2 tubes integrated ? ) and isn't in an enormous rush, and would like to pay the money directly to Michael in order to pay this debt so I can get myself out from under his thumb, I'd appreciate it and make sure you leave satisfied ( non time sensitive order only with conditions to be agreed to by both if us before order )
As always, do not ICQ me... I won't answer it and likely won't get it.
