I'd like to think this is just the usual bureaucratic proceedings of an accounting department. Hope FSC gets the $ soon. If they don't, then there are enough people on GFY to kick in a few more bucks to make up the difference.

#2. I emailed contact information for the FSC directly to EpicJim, I have given it to JimTheFiend on ICQ at least twice, and the FSC also has this thing called a website (they're cool things) that lists contact information too.

My point is this: It's been two months now, the FSC contacted me saying they've all but given up, and I've made plenty of effort to help them collect on the cash.
If Epic Cash pays them, then great. That's the only reason I posted the thread to begin with.Comment

I appreciate your compliments, and certainly, we strive to assist wherever and whenever we can.
However, I know Epic Jim and I am confident that they will get things done. Sounds like a paperwork and miscommunication issue, that happens with us from time to time as well.
This amount of money is not going to drain the Epic bank account.
I think we should all get this back to the focus of this being a good cause. Epic is good people and they would not leave a donation unpaid.

All I want is to see the FSC get paid. I'm not saying anyone's a piece of shit or anything else.
I talked to JimTheFiend on ICQ several times, I sent emails to EpicJim and Pimpdogg, it's been 2 months now, and for whatever reason there was a lack of communication.
I see that people are communicating now, and paying attention to the problem, so hopefully that means that a check gets written.

Despite the "DRAMA DRAMA" in the thread title, the calm and sensible way you are handling this is very admirable. You always seem to be so PROFESSIONAL. As someone who is new to this business, but in it for the long haul, I certainly look up to your as an industry leader. We are all better off for your efforts.
Anyone who has dealt with a person who doesn't want to pay knows that it always goes along the lines in this thread: first, they need this or that documentation; then they stall by saying this or that needs to get here or there and be approved by this or that person; and finally, they just can't find the person or the document that they need to get it done.
The only way to end it and to get an unwilling person to pay is to call them out on it. It's clear that's what you're doing here. And it's clear that you're not doing that with malice or without having your own ducks in a row.

I've dealt with Epic a few times and I know they're pretty anal about accounting getting all appropriate paperwork. If this whole thing is about missing paperwork, thats really pretty lame and at this point members of both parties should just get together and solve the issue.

It Friday night so it's hard to get answers for the obvious reasons.
My understanding is that our accounting department emailed the FSC asking for docs relating to the NFP status of the FSC for tax purposes. They didnt get them, so nothing moved forward.
I agree, this IS about paperwork. Easy enough to fix.
I have to send an invoice to accounting to get them to pay a hundred bucks to a gallery designer. I can't see them just cutting a 7k check to the FSC without dotting the EYES and crossing the TEES. See what I'm saying?

Ok. End of story. You guys aren't paying, and you're blaming that fact on this thread and on me, 2 months after the auction ended.
They're not getting their money, and I've got nothing else to say to you or Epic Cash. End of story. Case closed.
Right now I'm going to concentrate on cleaning up the PR mess, and finding a way to raise that lost $7,000 for the FSC.
