BCBSM is insurer of last resort meaning they have to take you no matter what and they have a bunch of plans that should fit your needs. You might get cheaper rates with another provider if you dont' have pre-existing conditions so do your homework. Either way if you are making a living you can afford some type of insurance in michigan no doubt.
