And hospitals bill you after you stay. If you gave them the wrong info, they couldn't bill you. Lots of people skip out on the bills, that's why hospitals like this rely on donations and your taxes.
Well they turned my friend down because he did not fulfill anougn of the requirements.

Seems to me that people would not bother if they were going to get free health care, unless they have a house to lose. But the truth is they would not operate or treat him and Medicaid turned him down.
