its sad to see people with disabilities that can not help it.
but the fact is that people now think because their son/daughter is "mentally challenged" they can't control their behavior. this is 100% bullshit and aggravates me not only as a person of society, but also studying psychology and autism for years.
they are perfectly capable of learning, but parents have the mindset of "this is how they will be" and don't even make an effort to change that. Now the schools are fucked just as bad because if you even THINK of correcting a "mentally challenged" child, you will be in deep shit faster than you think.
the parents use their kid as money generation machine with this. I watched how this school my ex used to teach at would continue to get sued by parents because teachers were "mean" or "physically abusive" to kids there. this is the biggest crock of shit ever. the teachers would have to tell the kids to sit down and they would through stuff at them, so they would stand up to the kid and say "SIT DOWN OR NO RECESS" then the kid would cry and call their parents.
this just gets under my skin. the fact that parents sue school because the think they kid is "mistreated" is complete bullshit. look back 10-20 years ago and things were a LOT different. kids had respect for people, not walking all over them and using their parents to get back at the school.
personally, i think we should go back to beating kids in school
