Of all the nations on that listing (plus more than were not listed and make up the total planet) - the only one that does not offer it's own children this freedom/right, is the US - under the Convention on the Rights of the Child. All other nations provide their children the freedom to access this Convention.
The second is... All nations on that list (plus almost all others, excepting four) also permit their citizens freedom to reside wherever they wish and not be obliged to account for their income and pay taxation back to their country of citizenship while resident abroad.
The third is... and this does not apply to *all* nations on that list, but all western nations, plus many more.... full habeas corpus rights apply to all. That is not the position of the US, although it is included in the Constitution (but has since been warped).
Now.. I've been waiting to see the flipside to this and see what claimed "extra rights" the US has that other nations don't have - but, so far, no actual details have been given.
OK.. Seriously.. even where I live, there are far more freedoms and rights - the govt is not permitted to even know financial details of an individual - it's a violation of privacy. That's before we even start on anything else

There are a million things to complain about where the U.S. is concerned. In comparison to other western countries, we trail in a number of frightening ways. Education, health care, obesity, and on and on.
But that's neither here nor there. The U.S. is the most powerful--and one could argue, most dangerous--nation on the planet. It's perfectly natural for people from other countries to want to trash it--I'd argue it's actually healthy.BaDoink

Well you had to expect some Americans to get pissed when you say we are a third world country. Did you really think that would make us happy? I did check the rules of recent time of habeas corpus. I do not understand why people feel the need on here to constantly rip on the US. I do not see Americans on here ripping on other countries. Would it matter that I was born and raised in the United States. Does it help that I also am a quarter native American.
Some times shining a light into our darker corners of this country is needed. If it happens to make some people unhappy, so be it. If one has traveled much in our country and not just to the tourist destinations, one would quickly find what I was speaking about in the initial thread. It is almost akin to visiting some place like Jamaica and judging the entire country by the tourist areas and hotels where everything is peachy.
I posted numerous reasons as to why I came to that conclusion in the other thread. I could travel not far from where I reside and quickly be in a place where many would like to pretend does not exist in this country. No and I am not just talking about run down trailers and over grown yards either. I am talking about places that lack any forms of sewer, where fresh water if you want to call it that comes from community wells in bad repair, where residents live in very aerated wooden structures that meet the architectural requirements a five year old backyard fort builder would accomplish. Places with no medical assistance within twenty or more miles to the closest clinic. Where home schooling is not an option it is a requirement.
Should it not bother me that many census polls often ignore places under a certain populations as if they do not count?
Does one need to look past how we handled the onslaught and aftermath of Katrina to not see how screwed up things have become and are in areas that we try to ignore or pretend do not exist?
As for habeas corpus, if the powers that be decide to use the every so scary T word. The rights of habeas corpus no longer will apply if they decide so. Now please feel free to post a list of other countries that puts us on par with.Comment

this is kinda dumb, you may think your all patraotic making a thread about how much america rules and how everyone else sucks.
But on a message board it will have the opposite effect, it will open up arguments, display weaknesses in america and open up new flaws and new ideology. so now people feel even more strongly in hating america. (this thread is a prime example)
Next time make a thread about how much america sucks and you will get postive attention for america with all the replies saying
"fuck off foreigner, america is the best"
rather than people thinking your a moron like they are here.
