umm...you leave a shelby just sitting out in the rain?
Lets get this straight, you have a quarter mill potential car there, said you've restored and sold them before, but have only a 2 car garage and leave it sitting in the rain. People that plunk down that kind of cash for a car generally have a place to keep them, and work on them like a shop.

If real the car is worth well over 200K restored. This 1968 Shelby GT500KR sold for $216,700 this year.

That's what a lot of people don't understand.
The collector car market is overly inflated at the moment because too many fuckwits are watching Barrett Jackson on the Speed channel and think their "nice" but imperfect car is worth the same amount as what they see on TV.
A Shelby is an awesome car, but it has to be a truly perfect specimen to get $200k. We're talking about down to the letter factory perfect all the way down to the placement & alignment of the sticker on the fucking battery.Comment

Absolutely, a crappy restoration will devalue the car. Also, use of none original parts, which are going to be hard to find, will hurt the price. On the other hand, their is a hard top version of this car for sale (same yr etc) that needs restoring and they want 130K unrestored. Authenticity from Charlie Sheen, being on the Shelby list could push this car with a showroom quality restoration over 300K.Comment

3 years ago we were exibitors at the Adult Internet convention in Hollywood Florida. One of the exibitors had a party at the Voo Doo Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale. When we got to the party 3 bouncers ran out the door, push my wife out of the way and she feel into the street and was hit by a car.Comment
