Well if ya want a REALLY good laugh, I live in FUCKING Kentucky....... so this is just par for the course I suppose. Meanwhile a couple of weeks ago my son and his little friend, both 8 years old, were in a two day in school suspension because they were threatening to shoot each other............. with PENCILS!!!!!!!! But nearby an EMPLOYEE of a school can feed these kids cat food?

I swear to god if I had the time and the knowledge of how to get started with this,my kids would all be homeschooled. You can do as you pretty much damn well please to me, but ANYTHING done to my kids whips out the bitch in me FAST.

once i had some dog jerky and i took out two of them and i asked a friend of mine "gilbert" if he would like some jerky. he took one of them and i turned around and when i looked back again he had taken a bite and began to chew. i dont think that he even knew except for me laughing my fucking ass off. then he could tell that something was wrong. he is still alive today and he still thinks that it is some funny shit. but i think that something like this is for fun and games. for a teacher to do something like this is very fucked up and i think that i would be pissed. this guy is a fucking idiot and he needs to be repremanded. i as well would be very disturbed if my sons teacher had given him some cat food. for a adult to do a innocent childs trick on innocent children then he is only a child in himself that has never grown up. Okay, I just became one of Rat's biggest fans. I nearly sprayed my coffee 6 feet in the air when I read that. And, when I started reading Tams first post here, I was thinking that the guy gave the kids laxatives too, until I got to the part about cat treats.

I tend to agree with Rat though regarding the lack of discipline in today's schools and with today's parents. I'm not addressing this to Tam or singling anyone out, but the whole "No one's gonna hit MY kids" attitude has gotten way out of hand. Sometimes certain little brats NEED a swat or five. There is no fear of reprisal anymore in schools like there was when I was a kid. If you were acting like a little asshole, someone was likely to report you to the principal, whereupon you'd be called in to his office. If you were bad enough, you'd get the fucking STRAP, after which a lot of other kids would think you were an idiot for getting caught. Your parents would be informed of your idiotic behaviour, and in the case of my parents, I would've gotten a beating when I got home as well. Kids are great to have, but without discipline and some solid consequences for their stupid shitty actions, they grow up to be real arse-piks.

The cat food guy needs to be suspended, but his punishment should be no more severe than what a student would get for the same infraction. I can see the evidence of defiance and increased aggression in today's youth, and I blame it all on organizations like CFS. Because of such defiant parents in the 80's, CFS is now so powerful that even the parents have little or no way to distribute any real meaningful punishment anymore. ONE word from a kid to a teacher about getting a spanking at home and that teacher fucking reports the parents to CFS, and they are all over you threatening to take your kids away.

You believe that the TEACHER, one who is there to set an EXAMPLE for these kids, should get no more treatment than the children? Ok then by YOUR views here, CD, they should beat that teacher's ass!!! No??

I am very much one of those mom's that says "YOU WILL NOT HIT MY KIDS", however, if they screw up in school and get into trouble, they get into trouble when they get home too. Over the "threats" my son got into trouble for school, we grounded him, since I know what his favorite things are, I removed some of those for a period of time, but I never HIT him...........

My kids do get a spanking on VERY rare occasions, but when they get a spanking, it is going to be from ME or their DAD, and not some fucking teacher or anyone else. I am their mother and it is MY job to punish my kids with a spanking if I think they need it.

Maybe you would think differently if you were YOUR parents allowed anyone and everyone to HIT you, mine did that........... and I'll be DAMNED if anyone else is going to lay one hand on my kids. FUCK THAT!!!!!

Teachers have a VERY tough job, that I will give you, I wouldn't want their jobs for a damn thing. There are WAY too many parents who just don't give a damn anymore, but there ARE parents who DO give a damn about how their kids treat others. Why do you think I stay at home with mine? I want them raised to be decent people. I see ALOT of kids who were raised in daycares and such that just don't give a damn about anything, not even themselves. They need BOTH, they need to be taught when they screw up they get punished and when they do something good, they get rewarded.


ALOT of parents, daycares, and schools just don't care these days..... they just herd them in and herd them out and go thru the motions, never stopping to TEACH them a damn thing. There are still ALOT of very good kids in the world and with a little molding they do still grow up to be decent citizens, and my one hope in my own parenting skills is that if they grow up and are decent people, then I have done my job.

And for the record, NO one loves a good practical joke as much as me, but a TEACHER doing this to an unknowing and trusting child, it's pretty out there to me. Let the kids play jokes on the kids and the adults on the adults!! And had he done this to another adult, I would have laughed til I cried as well. LOL

I don't think anyone is going to sue, I wouldn't sue anyone over this, but I would damn sure reem someone's asses out pretty bad............ but suing is a bit much over something like that. LOL

Then you are the exception. There are a LOT of parents that think otherwise. "No one is gonna disciplin MY little darlin'" is a phrase that will bring down our sociiety in the long run.

God damn rights it will, and anyone that thinks it won't is just fooling their own dumbass self.

And Tam, I never attacked you, and I made it quite clear that I wasn't targetting my comments to you personally. There was no need to take things personally at all, I hope you didn't.

But I still say that giving some tools of discipline back to the school system isn't a bad thing. If you as a parent want more control over your kids, then you should fucking well put your kids in PRIVATE school. But as you (Tam) said, there ARE kids whose parents could give a shit about them, and those kids damn fucking well NEED some discipline, whether they get it from teachers or whatever, they need it for the good of the kids themselves.

Some kids actually WANT the attention that discipline brings, if anything to show that somebody actually gives a shit about them. And some kids are just plain fucking spoiled brats that need it just as bad. This line of "no one hits MY little darlings" bullshit attitude is making our society intolerable, and will continue to do so until more parents get serious about some things where their kids are concerned (like you seem to have done Tam).

It's nice to see that a few people are still on the ball where parenting is concerned, but it's the ones that AREN'T so on the ball that concern me greatly. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about how agencies like CFS think they can tell you how to discipline your kids.

I am not a perfect mom, but my kids know two things.........

1) They know I love them without hesitation and that I would die or kill for them if need be.

2) If they screw up, they WILL take responsibility for their actions....... BUT they know we still love them and will walk them thru it, but in the end, THEY are the ones who did the crime and will be the ones doing the time.

These are two very key elements their dad and I try and instill in them. I just don't want anyone else hitting them is all.....
