    Internet Keywords for IE/MSN users

You can register Internet Keywords at DirectNIC ... but I got 'review keyword' type of purchase for any good adult name. Review means $299.00 just for a review and $199.00/yr after approval. Ugh...

Huh, what do you mean? These keywords really work. If you are using IE just type 'mickey mouse' (without quotes or www or .com) and press Enter. After a few moments you will be at Disney web site!

$299 non-refundable just to review your keyword selection. You think that isn't a scam?

I was going to ask about this Keyword business...

I just shelled out for a word on a whim. I think I have been buttfucked.

--> What is Keyword Registration? <--

Keywords are natural, native language terms that reflect your company's
unique brand or identity. They consist of simple company, brand and product
names that are easier to remember and use than long and cumbersome URL Web
addresses. In contrast to URLs, which cannot include spaces, accented
characters or alternative character sets, Keywords may consist of any
character set and language. The maximum number of characters in a Keyword
                is 128; the minimum, 4.

When you register a Keyword, you specify a domain name URL to which the
Keyword will point. Once a Keyword is live on the system, users can go to
your Web page by either typing your Keyword into a Keyword-enabled browser
or typing the Keyword into a Keyword-enabled search engine.

For example, instead of typing http://www.directNIC.com, you can simply
type Keyword ?directNIC? to be delivered to our Website. For another
example, typing Keyword ?rush hour 2? will bring you to the movie site
http://www.rushhour2.com/intro.html. No "http://," no ?www,? no ".COM,"
just the company or brand name as it is recognized or advertised. It is
                that easy!

Registering Keywords helps customers easily find your businesses, thus
fully explore the potential value of your website. To select the best
possible Keyword for your company, make sure that the Keyword you choose is
unique to your company and that it reflects your company's brand or
                identity.

--> Basic Keywords, Keywords Plus, and Keywords Review <--

There are two types of Keywords registrations: Basic Keywords and Keywords
                Plus.

Basic Keywords are low traffic names, ideal for small businesses and
individuals desiring to attract traffic to their websites. With Basic
Keywords, your website will be displayed within a Keyword Window. Basic
Keywords are available at directNIC.com for US$49.00 per year per
                registration.

Keywords Plus is for high traffic names, perfect for companies who want to
protect their online brands. With Keywords Plus, your websites are free of
any Keyword Window. All Keywords Plus registrations are reviewed by Keyword
Analysts prior to approval for a one-time fee of $299. Once approved,
Keywords Plus names are available at US$199 per year per registration.
Keywords Plus names have the added benefit of receiving top placement in
                MSN Search.

Keyword Review is a powerful service for registrants to validate their
rights to a Keyword and provide trusted data on their company to existing
and emerging Internet systems. The service also provides up to three
Keyword suggestions (up to 10 variations per suggestion) for those Keyword
requests that are available for Review. You can register any or all of the
                suggestions without further Review charges.
Note: All the prices can vary by country and the fees are non refundable.
Keywords are active only in those countries that you choose during the
registration process. You can register the same Keyword in multiple
countries. Keywords technology is active in many countries internationally.

--> How Are Keywords Different from Domain Names? <--

Keywords complement your domain names, to deliver a user-friendly, next
generation web address. However, there are several distinctions between
Keywords and domain names. Keywords provide added functionality users need
                such as:

                * Support multiple languages, spaces, and any character sets
                * Are based on natural language and common names
                * Protect trademarks and identities globally and locally
                * Enhance brand identity by allowing multiple words and special characters

                * Are integrated into Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser
                * Are intuitive to use and easy to remember
                * Work across all Internet-enabled platforms
                * Support the first Internet naming directory
                * Draw off the need to register addresses across all Top Level Domains
                * Enable direct, deep-site navigation
                * Provide usage tracking and reporting
