I admit I'm not really a "car guy", but a few months ago I bought an Acura RDX (SH-AWD/turbo) and so far I'm happy with it. Excelent safety without being too big or looking like a family-wagon, and feels/moves sportier than any of a similar class I test-drove. It's one of those cars that's nicer in real life vs photos, so maybe go down to a dealer and take a look. The interior especially appealed to my geeky side; the Acura logo even looks remarkably similar to the Star Trek logo. lol
