Miami, FL (AHN) - Miami is the second city to get a good education on a subject often considered taboo -- poop.
An educational exhibit titled "The Scoop On Poop," premiered at a Virginia museum in May and is now in Miami. After it leaves Miami it will make stops in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Redding, California.
Exhibit creators said the objective is to teach kids about excrement and "make people think," since many parents tend to shy away from such subjects.
Exhibit co-creator Chad Peeling said, "We didn't want this to be a gross exhibit for shock value; our goal was to make people think, kids especially, about the science in all aspects in life."
The exhibit features models showing different shapes and sizes of animal's feces including a football-sized elephant dropping and kidney-bean-shaped porcupine pellets. The 5,000-square-foot exhibit also shows photos of the animals the feces come from.
