    Design x Content x Text

What you guys think is the most important on the gallery (to sell it!): Design or Content or Text?!

Put weights for each one please... (i.e: Design 5, Content 3 , Text 1)

    Content is everything.
Suffering arises from attachment to desires.
Suffering ceases when attachment to desire ceases.

I have to admit I'm a sucker for good looking well designed galleries (and sites). I like something that catches my eye, is bright and colourful well layed out.
That being said, I've seen some with shitty looking galleries with amazing content which always reminds me it's the content that keep members coming back and most don't care how well versed in Photoshop you are. It is afterall, the content they pay to see and if it grabs them right from the start there's a good chance they'll click through.
Text is hard to get right...do you supply them with a ton of information or keeo it sweet and simple? I let the sites I build for decide that.
          My thoughts...
          Content - 9/10
          Design - 8/10
          Text - 5/10

Yes. But matching the right content with the right traffic is KEY.

Just because a particular content set is within a niche, there's some finetuning required re which subniche that content fits. And whether your traffic leans more towards that subniche. Example: mainstream and black audiences have different preferences when it comes to "ebony". Knowing the difference and knowing your traffic's demographic constitution can spell the difference between decent change and chump change.

But TRAFFIC is EMPEROR. What I do now is sculpt my content around my traffic. It's easier to do it this way than viseversea.

The Good news is... opinions are like asses - everyone has one

I´d give 2,5 to content, 2,5 to design and 2,5 to text and 2,5 to coherence between the other three factors. Impossible to isolate the importance of one factor over the other. They interact in a very profound way, and this is where success relies.

                    IMHO
                    work hard. play hard.
