I expect increased political tensions in the next 10+ years over this. The oil reserve up there is enormous and everyone wants to claim ownership of that land. There was a pretty good documentary on CBC about how various countries are racing to map the underwater maps to follow the glaciers to see where they end and who's land its attached to.
