Ok, the response to my earlier thread was outstanding. It seems that there are quite a few of our fellow webmasters who are interested in focusing on doing more in the mainstream (or mainRIVER as some pointed out). The sweet reality is that you can increase your profit by astounding amounts with a fraction of the traffic that is required to be profitable in adult. I have mainstream projects that are experiencing 1:35 conversion ratios on natural SE traffic and I have adult programs that are sitting at 0:15000 on natural SE traffic. Now everyone knows that there are infinite spaces between these two examples and I agree that they are extreme and do not represent the average, but I promise you that the basic truth in mainstream is that it takes fewer visitors to produce a sale and that it is much easier to produce that traffic. The bottom line is that there is less competition in many highly profitable mainstream niches compared to adult and if you take the tricks that you have learned in the adult industry and apply them to mainstream you will see results that will make you wonder why you waited until now.
For those of you that missed my previous thread ( http://www.gfy.com/showthread.php?t=665649 ), I would highly recommend that you check it out and even more importantly I would suggest that you sign up for the programs that I have outlined in the accompanying web page ( http://richjerkdirect.com/gfy.html ). There is not ?magic bullet? but these are programs that consistently out produce anything that I have going in adult. I am sure that they will do the same for you.
For those of you that contacted me as a result of the other thread and for those of you that are serious about making the jump into the mainstream, I have decided to host a training seminar. Currently, I am thinking that in order to accommodate webmasters in various countries and time zones it will be necessary to hold these training sessions at varying times. Tentatively, I a looking at an early morning and a late evening sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each of the training sessions will be approximately 2 hours each and will either utilize GoToMeeting and/or Skype as the communication method. I want to say that I will not be charging anything for participation. I simply ask that if you decide to focus some or all of your efforts toward implementing what I will tech you that you agree to use my affiliate codes for the various programs that will be discussed. That seems fair to me. Hopefully there will be enough people interested in doing this that it will become an on-going seminar that will last 30 days. Then I will start back from the beginning with a new class.
I mentioned that I will not be charging for my part of this, but just so everyone knows up front that there will be some costs involved. I have broken them down as follows:
Domain names required for the full 30 day project: $299.00
30 days of hosting: $49.95
Scripts for the project: $150.00
So that brings the total for ?start-up? for this program to $498.95 and to be honest it would be well worth the investment at 3 times that amount. I wish that there were a way to do this without having to put out any cash, but the reality of the world is that nothing really comes for free and I am sure that you understand that.
In addition to the items listed above you will also be getting 16 hours of group instruction that comes with interactive webinar sessions and I am normally available at least 8 hours a day for questions. In short, when you are finished with your 30 day training sessions you will have a completely functional system that will be generating targeted traffic and subsequently mainstream sales. You will also have the tolls and skills necessary to take this system and replicate it across ANY niche that you would like. Even though this is a system designed to help you break into the mainstream market, you can also use these methods to improve your success in any segment of online marketing, even adult.
In order to get an idea of how many people might be interested in participating in this event I have placed a simple survey form online.
