    My thoughts on tube sites...

Everyday I find myself logging into this site and see soo many threads about how tube sites are killing the industry.

The industry is not fucked... it's just restructuring. Do you think the top traffic sites are thinking to themselves... I just wanna give out some free porn and make very little?

Bullshit! Their taking all the adult traffic and are going to try and do something with it. The doors of 40 min. videos will be closing. Those piggy-backing tubes will be left behind because the pull will soon be to inflate BW and those in the dust won't be able to afford hosting the vids any longer.

Now what... redtube... youporn have all the traffic and you better bet your ass their gonna change their business structure. They are stealing all adult traffic and will be making so much fucking money if they succeed.

My thoughts are simply to come up with a better way to get the traffic... a little of the old and a little foresight for what's to come.

What are you gonna do? Tube sites are not killing the industry... they are stealing it and will be very, very rich if some people don't think about the next wave of traffic.

    My thoughts today...

also... do you think tube sites are REALLY making that much out of dating sites?

Really, a tube site can send 100k hits to a pay site and never convert... but they are making all this money on dating and cams?

So what you're saying is that the tube owners have long term plans are aren't just in it for the buck today?

I wasn't aware that an industry built on instant gratification could pull off such a thing. ;)

On the top of my mind is not how I can convert a niche like strip poker but how I can take the majority of adult traffic...

                1. Tubes do make big money on their prepaid advertisers among other channels.

                2. Many tubes also do great joins a day from adult advertising on the video. Sad to say, for example, when Pornhub was first coming up big, they were sending us 30-40 joins a day from the ads next to our videos ( not ads next to other peoples ). But this affects how much they can sell the other ad space for an that trumps the money to be made in the joins, and is prepaid.

                3. I agree traffic is shifting around. Only time will tell if this will shift back into a system that powers adult directly or continues to be monetized primarily by the people that didn't produce the content ( Dating, Cams, or Adbuyers )

                4. Anyone that believes they will change on their own accord is clueless. The only time you will see change is when the saturation point and ad buying money drops and they are forced to change. Or if some laws change.

Other than that, threads like this, are like pretending to be able to guess what a program does a day in joins. You're pissing in the wind, and they are just laughing about it.

Affiliate managers that discuss their business with me say that tubes are their friend. They actively feed the tubes with clips that tease the surfer enough to join. None of that 30 seconds to 2 minutes crap, but something that looks illegal but really isn't.

yup. some times, using the oldest content in full clip can help bring in big sales, imagine a very big teaser, but this cannot work if all the clips are that way, and for that to work, has to be like how sites like 4tube.com work or how pornhub.com did work. Ads must be clear and present by the video, b/c type-in alone just won't do the job.

there is nothing wrong with being on good terms with good tubes and crafting biz around what is out there. the core underlying problem is, for every "illegal" tube as people in this industry coin them, there are 10 more you don't know of trying to build up into the ranks and will burn your content out and use whatever it takes to do that. these are the real problems. it's an uphill battle, that is one part hardwork, and three parts bullshit. Atleast with pornhub, redtube, youporn they will take down the content. I know plenty that will just ignore it and then you have to DMCA the host. the wasted time adds up to lots of money when you factor in just having to hire people to do the job for you, that you really shouldn't have to do.

but like everything we disagree with in adult, things will work themselves out one way or another, just a question of, will you be on the side that is still earning, or the side that is yearning. And there is no clear cut way of knowing, b/c things can change at any time, for better or worse.

I don't wanna insult you but I don't think you read my initial post.

The tube sites are taking all traffic and will fuck everybody and everything in the way... wouldn't you? You now have the support of a majority of program owners who paid shit loads for their content and it for free.

Who gives a flying fuck about illegal or legal tube sites bro!!

It's the adult traffic they have... all other tubes will die when redtube, youporn, etc. decide to REALLY make a profit... and not that pre-advertised paid shit

                          Spot on.

Btw. i dont see the bw costs getting inflated. I would think the other way around.
As more people complain about, and see sales drop, inflating the costs of bw would hurt the hosting company.
