Jelena quick question, What are your rules about promoting, I know someone that got their account banned because they used images in the FHG on their blog/site, I just want to make sure because I want to signup, but want to make sure on your rules.

Also curious why you wouldn't allow images on a site/blog that send you sales?

Just want to make sure about this before I signup.

There are hosted gallery and downloadable content areas for a reason...the hosted galleries are to stay hosted on my server and the downloadable content is available to be hosted on affiliates' servers. The reason why some of my content cannot be used on domains other than my own is because I do not have 100% rights to some of the content.

Some photographers pay me and own the rights to the photos that we shoot but are either kind enough to let me use the content on my site or we have worked out a deal where I am allowed to use the content in conjunction with getting paid. And I also work for trade with a select group of photographers. My deals with them allow me to only post the content on domains that I own or for portfolio use only. I am not given the rights to give out the content for others to host/use as they please.

In order to keep my working relationships in good standing and to not burn any bridges, I have to stick to the agreements made. The person that you're speaking of is the only person that's ever been banned from my program, and they were banned because they were made aware of their error and given a warning. They chose to ignore the rules and continued to do what they were doing, so they were banned. I don't just go banning people, especially since we're both here to make money. But if someone blatantly goes against the rules when I've personally made them aware of the rules, then action will be taken.

I'm more than willing to work with webmasters and affiliates on getting them what they need to promote my site. Yes, sometimes it takes a little longer than the average program manager, but that's because I truly run my site and my affiliate program 100% on my own. So when I'm shooting and traveling, I only have so much time. If there's something you need, all you have to do is ask.
