    This made me lol:

      It is normal to receive such emails from dmoz editors. They need to review your site prior of approving it.
      I am a dmoz editor too and I can confirm that requesting temporary access username/password is not forbidden, but encouraged.
      But maybe you received this email without submitting yoru site to DMOZ?

          LOL, funny thing is I used to send out the same e-mail (but I was actually a DMOZ editor) unless you've submitted it tell em to stuff it ;)

                                  That's a very wise statement! Traffic from dmoz is insignificant, but the value of the link is very important, for sure.

                                      If it was a VOD or Cam site, how do you provide the login? Give them some free credit to try out or something?

                                      Not being funny but can't see the point of giving someone a login with no credits to such sites.

                                      Another thing, the editors have to use their own email address?

                                              Well, it's not so much wierd. but almost pointless of loging in to a VOD site or Camsite if you cannot do anything there as such.
