I'll maybe ignore the drama here for a second and respond to the original topic............our prices are set for the most part by testing the traffic, demand from the marketplace, and guidance from what our site owners want to charge. If a huge site with very good quality traffic (like videopost) is sold out month after month with a large waiting list, what usually happens is the price goes up. If that site drops in traffic and the buyers experience a drop in their profits chances are they will not renew and we will end up with spots open and no waiting list and we will then consider a correction in the price.
So far I do not see this happening, we still have all of the spots sold, so I would conclude that those spots must be worth the $2k or people would not buy them. my 2 cents people

Uhm, his traffic dropped roughly with 50%. I think you can also see that with Sextracker.

Anyway, if its still sold out i guess people make money with it.

Then again, i dont know if these are returning buyers or people who are finally getting a chance to buy a video post spot thinking it still does sends as much traffic as 1 year ago. Which it obviously doesnt.

When calculating your margins across various traffic sources as a whole, you just can't dismiss a particular traffic source because you didn't directly profit from that source because a lot of programs have tiered payouts and without those sales from that source, you might not have made that next tier resulting possibly in in a greater profit margin but overall less money.

I have always set a low and high threshold percentage on my profit margin. A high profit margin means I have room to purchase more traffic even if I don't directly profit from that source. A profit margin below my low threshold indicates to me that I need to possibly tweak an ad campaign before totally dismissing that campaign.

Basically, you need to think like this:

Would you rather earn $75k per month with a profit margin 22% or $50k per month with a profit margin of 40%

Frank I'm sure if nobody was making a profit then nobody would be buying them. A lot of times buying spots only works for affiliate programs themselves and not affiliates. Why would they reduce a price that is sold out 90% of the time?

Once again, they were known to be awesome spots to buy with a long waiting list. Now if a spot gets free people will buy it because of the rep it use to have.
And a 6 months waiting list and now sold out 90% of the time is also a huge difference.

Vlad, i start a serious webmaster thread, one of few on the mainpage, which im seriously interested in and could be interesting for many other people as well..
